About Us

Smith County Title Company was founded as Smith County Abstract Company in 1923 and has operated continuously as a family business.  Our records for Smith County, Texas begin with the Spanish Land Grants and continue through the Government of Mexico, Republic of Texas, and the State of Texas. 

Initially producing only abstracts of title, we have been writing Title Insurance for over 50 years.  Our experienced title examiners, closers, and escrow assistants make purchasing real property or refinancing a smooth and pleasant experience.
